In the modern era, no single work embodies Spain in music more than the Concierto de Aranjuez, as Miles Davis effectively confirmed by making his own version of it the centerpiece of his iconic album Sketches of Spain. However, Rodrigo has written much more for guitar than this popular concerto. There are four other concertos and over 20 solo works. The solo works cover the full range of his long career.
