The highly virtuosic technique frequently required of the soloist in the soprano register may be one reason why these concertos were not performed very often. The cello virtuoso Peter Hörr is more than up to the task and has rocketed to the German cello stratosphere as a soloist and chamber musician. He is also an esteemed college teacher whose master classes are sold out months in advance.
