Boris Goldstein became well known to the Russian public at the age of only nine, when he performed Mendelssohn’s violin concerto with the Moscow Radio Orchestra. He was a soloist with the Moscow Philharmonic Society for 35 years, but was only allowed to go on tours abroad twice. He left the USSR in 1974, settling in Hannover. Here he performs concertos by Mendelssohn, Konyus and Feltsman.
