Jörg Widmann (*1973) is already a world class clarinetist with an extremely successful performing career. He is also a highly respected composer and now his five part string quartet cycle is complete, and its recording premiere by the Leipzig String Quartet and Juliane Banse is magnificent in every sense of the word. An absolute listening must!
