The harpsichordist Blandine Verlet completes her previous record Couperin with a recording of the 13th and 18th so called “ordres” of the Third Book of his Harpsichord Pieces. Blandine Verlet is known for her unique interpretations: her tempi are sometimes voluntarily slower than prescribed but they are never heavy because she is animated by a healthy and lively breath. At the harpsichord, Blandine Verlet is carried by her writer’s delicate sensitivity. Indeed, the noble programme and a text of lyrical prose of her own match harmoniously in this book-record. She describes with a poetic realism engaging characters in their familiar and everyday settings.
