The Berlin and Thuringia-based Klenke Quartet was founded in 1991 at the Musikhochschule Weimar. Since then it has enriched concert life in an unchanged line-up "as one of the most distinguished European formations" (Gewandhausmagazin). Together with Harald Schoneweg, the Klenke Quartet has now recorded all of Wolfang Amadeus Mozart's string quintets.
