Simonova gives a fine performance...Her voice is firm, so Russian in timbre, able to cover the range of her music with no hint of strain. Her vibrant tone has an edge (not shrillness) that adds to her realistic portrayal of the princess...[Klenov] is a resonant baritone of focused projection, exciting at full throttle but not a bawler.
