With ASM Forte Forward, Anne-Sophie Mutter is launching a new album series in collaboration with Alpha Classics dedicated to the composers of our time. Each album will exclusively contain works written for her. The first album "East Meets West" will be released on March 27, 2026 on CD and LP.
in 2026 and 2027, Anne-Sophie Mutter celebrates an extraordinary anniversary: 50 years on the world's most important stages. She is using this special occasion to break new ground as a soloist, chamber musician, mentor, commissioner of new music and now also as a record producer. "I made a conscious decision not just to preserve tradition, but to keep music alive, to renew it and to pass it on," she says.
As an inspiration for entire generations of musicians and a tireless icon of classical music, Anne-Sophie Mutter remains an artist on the move: curious, courageous and open to what music can be today and tomorrow. For decades, she has been commissioning the most exciting composers of our time and supporting young talents. With ASM Forte Forward, Mutter is launching her own recording series with Alpha Classics. She is collaborating with musical companions, including current and former scholarship holders of the Anne-Sophie Mutter Foundation.
The first album in the new "East Meets West" series brings together works by four composers from different backgrounds. The program ranges from solo works to duo and chamber music to a work for violin and orchestra.
