Ten years after their acclaimed first album on B-Records with Schubert's Winterreise, Nahuel di Pierro and Alphonse Cemin now present a much more intimate program that has emerged from the intersection of their respective musical interests. From Debussy's Trois Ballades de François Villon to Piazzolla and Borges' Cuatro Canciones Porteñas, they combine the musical heritage of France and Argentina. In doing so, they focus on the marginal figures of Buenos Aires - the characters who shape the attitude to life of tango and milonga - and place them alongside Ravel's musical interpretation of Don Quixote. An epic journey across genres and continents, created by two performers who serve sung poetry with passion.
