The fact that Gaetano Donizetti, born on 29 November 1797, did not shun hard work and was a frequent writer is proven by his extensive oeuvre, which includes 70 operas. They shaped a whole century and some of his most successful stage works are an integral part of every stage in the world. All the more exciting it is to get to know the operas contained in this box: "Alina", recorded live at the 1987 Ravenna Festival in the revised version, or "Maria di Rohan" - the recording was made live in co-production with the Festivali della Valle d'Itria. The melodramma "Gianni di Parigi" was recorded in Bergamo in 1988 under the direction of Carlo Felice Cillario. Imelda De' Lambertazzi" is the one that appeared at the time. The funny chamber opera "Rita" with the Orchestra da Camera Siciliana under the direction of Federico Amendola and the Farsa "Il Giovedi Grasso" conclude this highly interesting compilation
