Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756-1791) had a deep connection to the church organ, an instrument that played an important role in his musical development. Even as a child prodigy, Mozart came into contact with the organ, as he frequently performed in churches. The grandeur and complexity of the organ influenced his compositional style, especially in his sacred works. Although Mozart described the organ as the "queen of instruments", he wrote comparatively few works for it.

Organist Manuel Tomadin acknowledges his fondness for this composer and his considerable skill as an organist by transcribing several of Mozart's works for the organ: the overtures to Così fan tutte and The Magic Flute, the two piano sonatas KV 283 and KV 310 as well as several small piano works that are ideally suited for performance on the organ. He plays on a historical instrument: the organ by Andrea & Luigi Montesanti from 1788 to 1790 in the parish church of Governolo, Italy.

A feast of colors and timbres that celebrates the genius of Mozart's timeless music!
