Cembaless performs a fresh, creative and colorful arrangement of the opera Il Floridante by George Frideric Handel (HWV 14). The unusual instrumentation is not only evident in the instrumentation, but also in the challenge of performing all the vocal parts with a female singer. Witty and eloquent, poetry slammer Florian Wintels narrates a free interpretation of the libretto and guides the audience through the highs and lows that the opera's protagonists have to live through. In doing so, he makes increasing reference to the three central themes of the production: "morality, courage and justice".
