In the second installment of their Meridiane series, the vocal ensemble Sjaella dedicates itself to music from cultures whose languages only exist as the mother tongues of minorities. On their new album "spoken", the a cappella ensemble shares its fascination for cultural diversity and vocal soundscapes through new interpretations of traditional music. The arrangements of folk songs and dances as well as new compositions create sound spaces that oscillate between tradition and modernity. Sjaella's Meridiane series, which continues on Fuga Libera, is a series of colorful musical treasures and at the same time deepens the ensemble's connection to its own cultural roots.
