This set presents an extensive survey of Liszt’s piano works, grand scale or intimate, thundering or tender, passionate or devout. In these works we find all Liszt’s pianistic innovations, feats of jaw dropping virtuosity, unheard‐of sonorities and future‐looking asceticism.
