10 CD box set of ten original albums, by one of the most important violinists of the 20th century, Arthur Grumiaux.These albums were made between 1956 and 1961 and include legendary recordings such as Beethoven's violin sonatas with Clara Haskill, sonatas and partitas by Bach and the Mozart Sonatas No. 40 and 42. Plus works by Brahms, Mozart, Lalo, Ravel and Chausson. As a bonus there is Grumiaux performing Stravinsky's D-major concert under the direction of Ferenc Fricsay.
