Although Beethoven is often regarded as the revolutionary composer par excellence, Reed Tetzloff would like to emphasize his primarily evolutionary musical approach here. The first volume of his complete recording of the piano concertos contains Nos. 4 and 5, with which the master set new standards. They were written during the composer's highly productive middle phase, alongside Symphonies 5-7, the Violin Concerto, the Razumovsky Quartets, etc. The American pianist, who received much attention for his lyrical performance at the Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow in 2015, will be accompanied by the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of Paweł Kapuła.
