The ever-curious musicians of the Voce Quartet were once again in search of new horizons and fell in love with the music of this Latin American country during their concert tours through Argentina. In Buenos Aires and Rosario, they regularly visited the traditional folk music and dance venues called peñas and milongas and had exciting sessions with the renowned Dino Saluzzi ... Finally, they decided to ask the composers Fernando Fiszbein, Gabriel Sivak and Jean-Baptiste Henry to write music and arrangements for the Voce Quartet. They play these pieces together with the great Argentinian guitarist Pablo Márquez and Jean-Baptiste Henry on the bandoneon. The colorful program includes tangos, but also zamba, chacarera, cueca, baguala and a homage to Piazzolla (Four for Tango for string quartet) and Alberto Ginastera, whose first string quartet and sonata for guitar can be heard here.
