Although Amanda Maier shaped the musical life of her time, her name was largely forgotten in the centuries that followed. With this album, Trio Ernest opens a door to her very personal musical world, alongside works by Grieg, the Schumanns and Reinecke. The focus is on Maier's beautiful Trio in E flat major, located at the interface between German Romanticism and Swedish folk tradition, as well as the Swedish airs and dances, whose color and charm are brought to life by Éléonore Billy's nyckelharpa.
