Despite her tragically early death from tuberculosis in 1918 at the age of just 25, Lili Boulanger has become almost a household name in classical music in the last generation, especially for her slender but exquisitely crafted works for choir, orchestra and chamber music, as seen for example in her psalm settings and her tone poems such as D'un soir triste.
