To realize his long-standing goal of recording all of Johann Sebastian Bach's violin concertos, acclaimed violinist James Ehnes has teamed up for this double album with Canada's National Arts Centre Orchestra, an ensemble with whom he has enjoyed a friendship and artistic partnership for more than three decades. Bach's masterful compositions for violin are characterized by different styles and instrumental combinations, which are interpreted here by one of the most important violinists of our time.
