Concert to mark the end of the First World War 100 years agoThe UNESCO World Orchestra for Peace was founded in 1995 by none other than Sir Georg Solti. in 2018, the orchestra, in which musicians from the world's leading orchestras make music and collect donations for peace around the world in the name of UNESCO, gave two acclaimed concerts of Beethoven's Ninth Symphony together with the Bavarian Radio Choir and renowned soloists under the baton of veteran conductor Donald Runnicles. These were concerts to mark the 100th anniversary of the end of the First World War.
