Abdel Rahman El Bacha, La Monnaie Symphony Orchestra, Kazushi Ono
Serge Prokofiev, the composer of “Peter and the Wolf”, of the ballet music“Romeo and Juliet” and of the music for the film “Alexander Nevski” by Serguei Eisenstein, was also a great pianist; he dedicated five of his concertos to this instrument. The Franco-Lebanese pianist Abdel Rahman El Bacha recorded them during one of his concerts in 2004, with the support of the Japanese conductor Kazushi Ono.
