"Smokin' in Seattle: Live at the Penthouse (1966)" features previously unreleased concerts from April 14 and 21, 1966 at the Penthouse in Seattle, WA by iconic jazz guitarist Wes Montgomery with the irrepressibly swinging pianist Wynton Kelly and his trio.

"Smokin' in Seattle" was recorded less than a year after Wes and Wynton's live album "Smokin' at the Half Note" (1965 / guitarist Pet Metheny says it is "absolutely the greatest jazz guitar album of all time"). The dynamic duo is backed by a solid rhythm section consisting of bassist Ron McClure (Charles Lloyd, Joe Henderson) and legendary drummer Jimmy Cobb.
