Johannes Pramsohler and his colleagues have rummaged through the luggage of Bach and his contemporaries and found concertos that were probably intended specifically for the road. This program of unusual and brilliant pieces for up to five soloists, grouped around the first version of the fifth Brandenburg Concerto, is taken on by the Ensemble Diderot with its typical combination of warmth and vitality.
