The prestigious French label Praga boasts a critically acclaimed catalogue of more than 400 titles to date, specialising on one side in chamber music with a main focus on Czech music, and on the other side on historical recordings through outstanding remasterings.
The label was put on hold at the death of its founder Pierre-Emile Barbier in 2018. In 2021 the company Little Tribeca, umbrella of the labels Aparté and Evidence, bought the Praga catalogue. This year is also the 30th Anniversary of the Praga label and the celebrations start with this extraordinary box set of 30 CDs containing some of the most beautiful titles from the history of the label.
Featuring Prazak Quartet, Kocian Quartet, Guarneri Trio, Michel Kanka and more, alongside high quality remasterings of historical recordings by Richter, Furtwängler and Mravinsky, among many others.
