These performances were recorded in Torino in 1952. The violin soloist is Gioconda da Vito. The bonus CD contains performances of Brahms’ Symphony No. 2 and his Variations on a Theme of Haydn. The Symphony is performed by the Vienna Philharmonic and was recorded in the Vienna Musikverein in 1945 and the Variations are played by the NDR Sinfonieorchester, recorded in Hamburg in 1951.
