To accompany a new critical edition of the score about to be published by Bärenreiter, the Diotima Quartet, holder of the exclusive rights on this edition, play both versions of the second quartet: with viola and with Garth Knox of the Arditti Quartet on viola d'amore.This disc was recorded in the Aldeburgh concert hall.
