The title of the CD "Arborescence" (tree structure) is reminiscent of the organic development and branching of musical ideas within a creative ensemble. This program presents a path through three works that reflect the diversity and richness of chamber music at the end of the 19th century. The influence of Gabriel Fauré's teaching and style can be found in the works of his pupils Maurice Ravel and Georges Enesco. These three sonatas show common influences and demonstrate the range of possibilities offered by the same pedagogical framework.
