Ausiàs Parejo

Ausiàs Parejo is the winner of the International Guitar Competition "Alhambra" 2022. In this program he plays three cornerstones of the Spanish and Latin American repertoire. Guastavino's first guitar sonata, Ponce's great homage to Segovia and Brouwer's refined set of variations are a combination of idiomatic coloration and rhythmic liveliness and present the performer with formidable technical and interpretative challenges. Inspired by his youthful brilliance, Juan Erena's Luz del Alba, full of radiant grandeur, is dedicated to Parejo.
