Accordionist Théo Ould describes this new album as "my most personal - I had never allowed myself to play the music of Astor Piazzolla. I wanted to raise the accordion above the clichés and concentrate on a more classical repertoire". However, Théo's vocation became obvious when he heard Piazzolla's Libertango at the age of 6. Today, 20 years later, the Frenchman from Marseille dedicates himself to this music with fervor and enthusiasm in tailor-made arrangements, which he performs together with the Quatuor Bilitis and double bassist Blanche Stromboni, as well as mezzo-soprano Marina Viotti, who appears in a beautiful and heart-warming interpretation of Balada para un loco, Piazzolla's setting of a poem by Horacio Ferrer. Théo Ould is enthusiastic about this music and invites us to share his enthusiasm by singing along to Ferrer's Balada: "Rise into the tenderness of my madman, put a lark's wig on your head, fly with me now! Come, fly! Come!"
