Keilberth was a conductor of the Old School and he refused all exhibition and show. The sound he produced underhis baton was brilliant but never storming or thundering and he didn't let himself go to exaggerating details. Heworked with several German radio orchestras, particularly with that of Stuttgart, where the present two recordingscome from.
