[The G major Concerto] is pleasingly wide-ranging, allowing Tiberghien to shine in passages that are one minute subtle and elegant, the next blowsy and ribald. The Concerto for the Left Hand in D major is altogether more complex and profound, Tiberghien navigating the work’s daunting bottom-to-top scope with impressive ease.
The concertos receive vivid if slightly brittle performances, with crystal-clear textures and beautifully shaped solo playing from the Siècles woodwind, and from Tiberghien too.
