Fernando Sor was a leading composer and guitarist. During a long stay in Paris, his interest in popular melodies, which were in vogue in the early 19th century, grew. . Between 1827 and 1835, he composed numerous important works for the guitar repertoire. The most important pieces can be heard in this recording, which combines art music and folklore through a profound and refined style of writing.
