Following the great debut album [Ex]tradition, the ensemble The Curious Bards, founded by fiddler Alix Boivert in 2015, continues its exploration of music from the Scottish and Irish folk tradition. The musicians once again found what they were looking for in sheet music from the 18th century. With this new collection of songs and dances, even more of this fascinating repertoire can be discovered, where the distinction between serious and popular music is not really relevant.
