Guitarist Élodie Brzustowski revives forgotten treasures of French Romanticism in biblical nocturnes and romantic fantasies. On three historical guitars by Klimits (1824), Coffe-Goguette (1830) and Lacote (1841), she explores a rare repertoire that combines virtuosity and poetry. The works of Zani de Ferranti, Victor Magnien and Napoléon Coste reveal the full richness of sound of the romantic guitar: the intimacy of its timbre, the lyricism of the fantasies and the deep meaning of the biblical nocturnes. A sensitive journey into the heart of the 19th century, in which each instrument becomes an ambassador of the era, carried by the luminous and expressive playing of a deeply inspired artist.
