Ivo Malec, born in Croatia, studied composition at Zargreb University and moved to Paris in 1955 where he began in 1959 to be an active member of the Groupe de Musique Concrète, directed by Pierre Schaeffer. His previous release on Timpani (Sonoris causa 1C1086) achieved high critical acclaim receiving a diapason d’or and le monde de la musique choc by the French press.
