Claude Debussy signed his late sonatas, which were planned as a cycle of six very different chamber music works, "musicien français". He wanted to tie in with sonatas by François Couperin and Jean-Philippe Rameau, masterpieces of the French Baroque. An illustrious ensemble led by Isabelle Faust, Alexander Melnikov and Jean-Guihen Queyras recorded the three completed sonatas for the Debussy Year 2018. The recording is now available again.
