Alexandre Tharaud (piano)

When Alexandre Tharaud presented his Satie recording with a few friends in 2009, he wanted to offer as diverse a panorama as possible of the piano and chamber music of the dazzling composer. Exquisitely tender and vividly gestural, Tharaud lets the familiar and the less familiar resound, finally turning to Satie the chamber musician. Whether with violinist Isabelle Faust, four-handed with Éric Le Sage, with chanson singer Juliette or tenor Jean Delescluse - "the Satiesian spirit of this infectiously shrewd and winking good-mood music was omnipresent in the recording studio" (Rondo).
