With "Credo", harp virtuoso Alexander Boldachev offers a transcendent exploration of Johann Sebastian Bach and Arvo Pärt. Through eight visionary transcriptions for solo harp, "Credo" builds a bridge over 250 years of sacred sounds - from Bach's measured maximalism to Pärt's contemplative minimalism. Boldachev reveals the full expressive power of the harp, transforming it from a traditionally ornamental instrument into a profound voice full of clarity, intimacy and resonance.
Recorded in the tranquil mountain chapel of Aiglon College in Switzerland, "Credo" is both a sanctuary and a clear statement. The album is a deeply personal musical journey that invites the listener into a space of stillness and reflection - a soundtrack for meditation, meaningful work or just being. With "Credo", Boldachev not only interprets these masterpieces - he lives them and illuminates the divine thread that connects two composers and two souls across centuries.
Alexander Boldachev is a virtuoso harpist in the field of classical crossover, composer, initiator of the World Harp Day in Hong Kong, founder of the Zurich Harp Festival and visiting professor at the Royal Academy of Music and the Milan Conservatory. In 30 years "on stage", he has performed at Carnegie Hall, worked with Robbie Williams for the opening ceremony of the FIFA World Cup and visited hundreds of festivals, from Burning Man in the USA to the legendary Verbier Festival in Switzerland.
