Recorded in September 2014 in the magnificent Victoria Hall, Geneva, Arabella Steinbacher
and the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, under the baton of Charles Dutoit, join forces for
this confident and energetic recording of Tchaikovsky and Mendelssoh violin concertos.
Arabella Steinbacher performs with heart-felt enthusiasm on this recording. Her
interpretation, respectful of the composer’s indications on the score, produced a pure, yet
fierce sound that speaks directly to the listener.
Both the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande and Arabella Steinbacher, a multiple awardwinner,
