This world premiere represents the rediscovery of the composer Arturo Clementoni, who worked as a bandmaster and organist in Ascoli Piceno in the first two decades of the 20th century. The documents about his work paint a picture of a man who lived and worked entirely within the rich, lively musical scene of his homeland and was loved and respected by his fellow citizens, but also appreciated by the great musical personalities of his time. He received numerous awards for his compositional work, including first prize for his "Missa Jubilaris" in the composition competition organized by Carrara of Bergamo, the most important Italian publisher of sacred and liturgical music of the time, in 1950 (the year declared a Holy Year by Pope Pius XII). The life and work of Arturo Clementoni fit perfectly into the artistic and cultural current of the Cecilian movement, whose ideals and rules were officially sanctioned by the motu proprio "Inter plurimas pastoralis officii sollicitudines" of Pope Pius X on November 22, 1903. The symphonic chorale "Cristo risusciti" is undoubtedly a highlight among Clementoni's known works and, due to its quality and breadth, deserves to be seriously rediscovered in the context of the great organ music of the 20th century in Europe. The "Missa Jubilaris" impresses with its spirituality and the successful mixture of echoes of Gregorian music, a solid polyphonic framework and symphonic-like energy. Giuseppe Monari can be heard on the organ and the Vox
