On this new b-records production, conductor Leo Warynski and the vocal ensemble Les Metaboles present two little-known choral works by two composers who composed in completely different centuries. The visually luminous work "Another Look at Harmony - Part IV" by Philp Glass is juxtaposed with a canon for 16 voices by the unknown Baroque master Andrea Basili (1705-1775). This piece, which has never been performed before, harmonizes with Philip Glass' minimalism through its
almost perfect cyclical music that spins almost magically and can't seem to stop.
