Gaspard Dehaene's poetic program immerses the listener in the composition class of Gabriel Fauré. The pianist conveys the enthusiasm, liveliness and sensitivity characteristic of the generation of composers who passed through the Conservatoire de Paris. The recording is a tribute to the great French master, who taught at this institute from 1896 to 1920 and directed it for 15 years, as well as to the pianists who knew and admired him, from Maurice Ravel to Lili Boulanger and Georges Enesco.
