Miriam Prandi's deeply personal interpretation of Bach's suites for solo cello reveals a musical personality characterized by freedom and reverence for the work; her phrasing is reminiscent not only of the elegance of line in Bach's arias and recitatives, but also of the complex figurations of his keyboard works. She takes up very specific elements of historically informed performance practice in a very natural way, but without allowing herself to be restricted by its guidelines.
