Ruth-Margret Pütz, Fritz Wunderlich, Elisabeth Schwarzkopf, Radio-Sinfonieorchester Stuttgart, Carl Schuricht
Once again, treasures have been unearthed from the archives of Südwestrundfunk for the SWRmusic label: of the total of 125 surviving sound documents from the decades of intensive collaboration between the Stuttgart Radio Symphony Orchestra of the then Süddeutscher Rundfunk (SDR) and Carl Schuricht, the most significant are now being released. The 18 CDs, which will be released successively, are available individually or - after complete release - as a complete edition. So far, 10 CDs are on the market. Carl Schuricht was considered the RSO's secret chief conductor in the fifties and sixties - until his fruitful artistic collaboration with the still young orchestra ended for health reasons.
