Tchaikovsky's orchestral suites are the least known of his orchestral works. Their rediscovery provides an insight into the stylistic resources of the composer, who explored the possibilities of free form. From fugues to old dances, not forgetting the use of Russian folk themes, Tchaikovsky's signature is always recognizable due to its uniqueness, variety and inexhaustible inventiveness.
